With over sixteen years in my profession, I have had the great privilege to support clients as they work to cope with depression, anxiety, abuse and trauma, panic and grief. Along the way, I've also developed expertise in complicated family issues... foster and adoptive families, blended and step-family dynamics and parenting. During my graduate studies in social work at Portland State, my emphasis was on children and families.
Regardless of the particular issues you bring to therapy, the focus of our work together will be your healing. We'll work collaboratively to identify goals for your counseling and then work together to help you gain insight and practical skills to reach those goals.
I offer a complimentary 20-30 minute initial consultation to help both of us determine whether we will work well together. My standard fee for a 50-minute session is $125 and I offer a generous sliding fee scale. If, after the initial consultation, we agree to begin therapy and you are unable to pay my standard fee, we will decide together on fees you can afford. Payment is by check or in cash at each appointment and other than illness or accident, if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, I ask that you be responsible for payment for that scheduled hour.
I am a provider for Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Oregon, Aetna, Com Psych, Life-wise, MHN, PBHI, Providence Preferred, Tri-Care, UBH and GEHA. Even if I am not a provider on your insurance panel, we may still be able to work together using 'Out of Network' benefits. Please talk to your insurance provider for more information. I am also on several Employee Assistance Program (EAP) boards through your employer. Please ask your human resource person for more information.
